Ocean Drive & Bridge Could be Open By Memorial DaySuperstorm Sandy and the nor'easter that followed it last fall washed out 1,500 feet of the well-traveled Ocean Drive in Avalon, on the approach to the Townsends Inlet Bridge. Then, a barge that had torn loose struck the bridge, causing further concern. As a result of the damage, the bridge and roadway that have connected Avalon and Sea Isle City since 1932 have been closed since October. |
