Join 7 Mile Sports for a family-fun fitness event featuring a 5K run through Stone Harbor and an untimed 2-Mile Run/Walk. Awards given to top female and male overall and in each race category.

CONTACT Cape-Atlantic 5-Mile Run and 2-Mile Walk
7am registration, 8am race, 8:05am walk, Avalon Community Hall

The race will feature t-shirts to the first 25 registered. Awards for the top three overall and within each category. CONTACT Cape-Atlantic is staffed with more than 150 volunteers that serve the elderly and disabled with a daily telephone call.

5th Annual Stone Harbor Fitness Challenge 5K
6:45am registration, 8am 5K race, 8:05am Kids 2-Mile, Stone Harbor Recreation Field, 82nd Street and First Avenue

The morning begins with the 5K course. Racers who signed up for the fitness challenge complete the race and continue on to the field for nine all-encompassing total body challenges (heavy ropes slam, water jug carry, etc…). The 2-Mile Fun Run and Kids Run begins shortly after 5K starts. Awards will be given to top finishers in each age group and top overall finishers in the 5K, 5K Fitness Challenge and Kids Fun Run.

Stone Harbor Triathlon

This popular event is usually sold out by the time we go to print, but for spectators it’s a site to see. It begins with a ¼ mile basin swim starting at the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor, followed by an 11 Mile Bike Ride and a 5K run through Stone Harbor.

14th Annual Avalon Yacht Club Run from the Sun 5K & Kid Sprints

Join in on this annual run to earn funds for The Skin Cancer Foundation. Kid Sprints is a 1/10 mile run with medals to all kid finishers. 5K racers receive t-shirts and refreshments. Awards are given to top three overall male and female finishers, plus top three in each category. Additional awards given for largest and fastest family team.
