A Letter from the Editor

Dear Readers,

Welcome back! Wow, does it ever feel good to say that. Welcome back to our magnificent beaches, to our stunning bays, to that fresh salt air, and all of the places that have become like a second home to so many – especially this past year.

Needless to say, the past 14 months have been challenging to everyone, in so many ways. Hopefully, the summer of 2021 can bring some normalcy back into all of our lives. And that’s part of the magic of the Jersey Shore. Through so many changing times, Seven Mile Beach has remained a constant, consistent place in so many lives.

Even though it’s been several months since our Holiday 2020 issue, our staff has been busy. We’ve been working on planning each upcoming issue. I’m really excited because we’ve got some great stories and features planned for this year. That said, we’d love to hear from you and any ideas that you might have.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t take just a moment to pass along our thanks. First, to our amazingly loyal advertisers. They’ve enabled us to enter 2021, our 27th year of publishing. That obviously would not be possible without them. Despite these difficult times, our loyal advertising base has enabled us to keep our staff intact throughout the pandemic. Our advertisers are all small, family-owned businesses, and we respectfully ask that you consider supporting them and their families by shopping local this summer.

More than anything, our heartfelt thanks go out to you, our readers. Twenty-seven years doesn’t happen easily. And it certainly doesn’t happen without you. With our print circulation combined with our digital reach, simply put, there is no better or more effective way to reach more consumers on the Seven Mile Beach than through Seven Mile Times. And best of all, Seven Mile Times is still free! Thanks for keeping Seven Mile Times the most popular publication on the island.

So, for now enjoy the sun, the surf, and all that the Seven Mile Beach has to offer, and let’s toast to what we all hope will be an amazing summer of 2021. And don’t forget to mask up.

Stay well,
