Letter from the Editor

Dear Readers,

That’s it? Wow, did this summer ever fly by! It seems like just yesterday we were preparing for our spring issue, and now we’re looking at Labor Day and the fall season here at the Shore.

We have so much to be thankful for. Thankful for this amazing summer of ’23 with all those warm sunny days, cool moonlit nights, and the opportunity to spend all or part of the summer here on the Seven Mile Beach. Here at Seven Mile Times, we’re especially thankful for our loyal advertisers who have made it possible for the Times to be Avalon and Stone Harbor’s only exclusive publication for more than 30 years now.

Most of all, we’re thankful for you – our readers. We understand that there are lots of choices in the world today when it comes to entertaining and informing. On behalf of our entire staff and all our advertisers, thank you for taking the time to pick up the Times and reading each issue.

And of course, we’re all thankful for the endless summer that we all enjoy here at the Shore. The weather is usually magnificent, the water is still warm, and the pace slows down just a little bit – allowing more time to relax and soak it all in. If you’re saving dates, be sure to include the End-of-Summer Shop Hop, Stone Harbor’s Savor September Food, Wine and Beer Festival, and the the Avalon Arts & Seafood Festival. And if you haven’t already, you’ll want to make plans to spend the holidays here on Seven Mile Beach. The holidays are a magical time here on the island and there’s so much for families to do. Why not start your family tradition this year?

So, thank you again, we appreciate you so very much. Stay healthy and safe. And to stay in touch with your favorite place, you might want to “Like” the Seven Mile Times on Facebook. It’s a great way to stay in touch all year long.

Looking forward to getting back with you in our special holiday issue.
