Welcome back, friends. Despite the trick that pesky groundhog played on us, spring has finally arrived. What a mood changer! Now let’s get outside and celebrate.

Taboo. Dangerous. Dirty. Since the 1930s, marijuana has been demonized and outlawed as a drug in the United States. During this era of prohibition, those opposed to it have argued that it is a harmful gateway drug that leads to increased crime and addiction as well as stunted brain development in young adults and lung disease.

To the south of the Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy in France lies the appellation of the Côte Chalonnaise. This is the much-unknown and overlooked part of Burgundy. Vines are the principal crop of the region; most of the vines are planted with pinot noir and chardonnay, but also some gamay and Aligoté.
