A hands-on workshop that will cover basic book repair such as page tipping, page repair, corner(s), cover(s), spine repair, hinge(s), and more. A handout will be provided that will list book repair products, everyday items that can be used for book repair (that are also budget friendly!) and cover the pros and cons of book treatments and lifespan of certain book repair treatments. Attendees are welcome to bring a book needing repair (no rare or leather bound please) and, pending time, can apply their new book mending skills to their own items.
Please note: this workshop covers mending techniques and products for repairing paperbacks and hardbacks, not rare or leather bound books. Presented by Stephanie Sussmeier.
