Horseshoe Crabs: Living Fossils at the Beach

  • Surfside Park 2901 Avalon Avenue Avalon, NJ, 08202 United States (map)

6pm, Surfside Park, avalonfreelibrary.org

Every spring at the shore, our beaches get visited by a living fossil: the horseshoe crab. At this presentation, attendees meet and learn all about the horseshoe crab, discuss why so many animals (including humans) rely on them to survive, and the research and conservation efforts here at The Wetlands Institute. The event is cosponsored by the Avalon Library and the Environmental Commission.
