JIM AND LINDA LUTZ’S 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Jim and Linda Lutz recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a luncheon at ICONA Avalon. They were married Sept. 29, 1973 at the Trinity Memorial Church in Philadelphia. Originally from Sewell, N.J., they have resided in Avalon for more than 20 years and spend their winters in Marathon, Fla. The couple share three children: Amanda Murphy, Kristen Schembs, and Jay, and five grandchildren: Teagan, Maren, TJ, Luke, and Bella. Jim is the owner of Nev-R-Enuf Sportfishing on the island, and both he and Linda are active members of the Avalon Lions Club.


Tying The Knot

DARROCH-MINUTO WEDDING

Callie Darroch and Scott Minuto were married Nov. 3 at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm in Springfield Township, N.J. Scott is the son of Russell and Janice Minuto, of Voorhees. He is a special education/adaptive physical education teacher at Seneca High School in Tabernacle. Callie is a health and physical education teacher at Burlington County Institute of Technology in Medford. She is the daughter of Tracee and Doug Darroch, who is the Seven Mile Times copy editor. The newlyweds live in Medford with Scarlett, their Jack Russell/pit bull mix. They plan a Key West honeymoon in April.

RUETER-McNULTY NUPTIALS

Jenna Rueter and Sean McNulty tied the knot Sept. 23 at ICONA Diamond Beach. They hosted a 300-person tented beach wedding during tropical storm Ophelia that Jenna says “made it an unforgettable day.” They first met at Paddy Whacks Irish Sports Pub on South Street in Philadelphia … or so they thought. While bonding over having spent summers “down the shore,” they soon realized they had attended Sailing Camp together at the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City. They reside in Cape May Court House with their Golden Retriever, Buoy, and both work in Avalon. Jenna is a salesperson for Compass Real Estate of Avalon, and Sean is a co-owner and membership director of the Carefree Boat Club of South Jersey, located at the Commodore Bay Marina.


MAYOR MCCORRISTIN’s BIRTHDAY

Avalon Mayor John McCorristin turned 70 on Oct. 24. He celebrated his first birthday as mayor with a family dinner. His grandchildren John, Meena, Gemma, Kiley, and Lily were on hand to make sure he had a happy birthday.

FARAGASSO TWINS

On the morning of Sept. 23, Justine and Michael Faragasso celebrated the birth of their twin girls, Aria Justine (right) and Sofia Jane (left), at the Princeton Medical Center. Aria was born first at 8:47, weighing 4 pounds, 8 ounces, and measuring 18 inches. Sofia was born one minute later, weighed the same and measured 16 inches. Justine is a graphic designer for Seven Mile Publishing & Creative, and Michael is a mortgage lender. The family resides in East Windsor, N.J. The grandparents include Carol Struett, and Lisa and David DiTommaso.

LILY JEAN VANDERMARK

Lily Jean Vandermark was born Oct. 10 to Josh and Kelly Vandermark, of Cape May Court House. Dad is a firefighter with the City of Cape May and mom is the librarian at Avalon Stone Harbor Schools and the owner of Son of a Sailor Seafood. Lily’s grandparents are John and Lisa McCorristin, of Avalon, and Keith and Pamela Vandermark, of Erma. Lily’s cousins are excited to introduce her to all their Seven Mile favorites next summer.


BOY SCOUTS COUNCIL SALUTES COSKEYS

Our own Monica and Dave Coskey were honored on Nov. 1, at a dinner at the Wildwoods Convention Center by the Garden State Council of the Boys Scouts of America. The Coskeys and the Molluck family of Cape May were honored as the distinguished citizens of the year in Cape May County.
