Congrats! Class of 2025

Sophie Whiteway

PRINCETON UNIVERSITY
Sophie Whiteway graduated from Princeton University in May with a bachelor’s degree in economics. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Andrea Whiteway of Avalon and Potomac, Md. At Princeton, she played on the women’s lacrosse team and set the school record for career draw controls for the program that won the 2025 Ivy League title and reached the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament. She served as co-president of the Student Athletes Service Council, and also was a member of the University Cottage Club, the Princeton Corporate Finance Club, and Princeton Athletes In Action Christian Fellowship. She spent a summer abroad studying at the London School of Economics. This summer, she traveled to France with her mother before returning to Avalon to enjoy boating, waterskiing, playing pickleball and the many events at the Avalon Yacht Club (where her dad serves as Rear Commodore) and, of course, coaching lacrosse. She will join CitiGroup as an investment banking analyst in New York City later this summer.


Finn Sullivan

COLLINGSWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
Finn Sullivan graduated from Collingswood High School. He is the son of Kim Brooks and Shawn Sullivan. He will attend Lawrence University this fall and plans to major in music educatIon. Throughout his four years at CHS, Finn was an honor student who was involved with the madrigal singers, National Honor Society, honors choir, and a member of the varsity bowling team. He was the lead in the high school musical, a member of Collingswood Recreation Worlds Team Odyssey of the Mind, and a member of the New Jersey All-State and All-South Jersey choirs. Finn received the Camden County “Best of Class” award for Performing Arts. Before heading to Lawrence this fall, Finn will volunteer with the Collingswood Youth Theater, vacation in Ireland with his family, and will enjoy time with his friends.


Zoe Sullivan

COLLINGSWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
Zoe Sullivan graduated from Collingswood High School. She is the daughter of Kim Brooks and Shawn Sullivan. She will attend Camden County College as part of the Garden State Pathways Program. Throughout her four years at CHS, Zoe was an honor student who was involved with the choir, National Honor Society, and the theater program. She played field hockey, basketball, and participated in Unified Sports. She also participates in Special Olypmics basketball and soccer. She received the Sandy Ritter Award for field hockey. Before heading to Camden County College this fall, Zoe will vacation in Ireland with her family, and will attend Camp PALS.


Cynthia Sakoulas

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL
Cynthia Sakoulas graduated from Middle Township High School and will attend the University of Delaware in the fall. The daughter of John and Elizabeth Sakoulas of Cape May Court House, Cynthia plans to major in business management and marketing. She attended Avalon and Stone Harbor schools from kindergarten through eighth grade and was part of Avalon’s Class of 2021. During her time at MTHS, she was a member of the dance and lacrosse teams, and participated in several school organizations, including Key Club, Red Cross Club, and the National Honor Society. She also served as a student ambassador and held the role of Vice President of Events.


Avaclaire Scales

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL
Avaclaire Scales graduated this June from Middle Township High School and will be attending Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla. The daughter of Dr. Michael Scales of Swainton, Avaclaire plans to study both anthropology and public policy. During her time at Middle Township, Avaclaire served as class president and was an active member of the varsity track and field team, competing in pole vault. She also contributed as the swim team manager. She participated in dual enrollment courses through both Atlantic Cape Community College and Stockton University. A dedicated student, she was a member of the National Honor Society and consistently made the honor roll throughout all four years of high school. This summer, Avaclaire will be working at the Philly Pretzel Factory in Sea Isle, enjoying the beach, and spending quality time with friends and family.


Ainsley Scarpa

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL
Ainsley Scarpa graduated from Middle Township High School and will be attending the University of Massachusetts, where she will study animal science and pre-veterinary medicine. She is the daughter of Kevin and Christine Scarpa of Cape May Court House and granddaughter of Carman and Lois Scarpa and Richard and Lois Gruenler. Throughout high school, Ainsley was a member of both the dance team and a competition dance team. She also enjoyed traveling to Italy and Greece. This summer, Ainsley will be spending her time working at Nesting in Stone Harbor and will be competing in the Starbound National Dance Competition before heading off to Amherst in the fall.


Anastasia Zofia Krafczek

THE HILL SCHOOL
Anastasia Zofia Krafczek, daughter of Kara and Charles Krafczek of Stone Harbor, graduated from The Hill School in Pottstown, Pa., and will be attending the University of Miami this fall. She plans to begin her college journey by studying abroad in Italy. Anastasia was a four-year varsity athlete in both soccer and basketball, and served as captain in both sports. Voted Head Prefect in her senior year, Anastasia served as a residential adviser and was head of the Blue Crew, leading student sections and organizing school spirit activities. She was honored by her classmates with the Archibald R. Montgomery Award, recognizing her exceptional friendship and personal concern for fellow students. This summer, Anastasia is working at The Lazy Bass, spending time at the beach with friends, traveling to Colombia to visit schoolmates, and enjoying quality time with her family.


Justin Walker

CAPE MAY COUNTY TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL
Justin Walker is graduating with academic honors from Cape May County Technical High School. The son of Dave and Jessica Walker of Cape May Court House, Justin is also graduating as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society chapter at Rowan College of South Jersey. This fall, Justin will attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., where he plans to study wildlife biology. During his time at Tech, he was actively involved in Surf Club and competed on the varsity swim, golf, and volleyball teams. This summer, Justin is looking forward to working, teaching surf lessons, and traveling to Africa with his family before heading off to college.


Grayson Barnoski

AVALON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Grayson Barnoski graduated from Avalon Elementary School and will attend Ocean City High School in September. The son of Robin Anzalone Barnoski and Matt Barnoski of Avalon, he was inducted into the Junior National Honor Society. He was a member of the cross country, basketball, and baseball teams. He surfs any chance he gets and has turned his passion into a job, helping teach surfing lessons for the past three summers. He plans to join the surf team at OCHS.
