Bring your beach chairs and enjoy the music of a variety of artists all summer long. Perhaps the most popular weekly event, Avalon’s Thursdays at Surfside concert series will welcome bands such as Johnny Folsom 4: A Tribute to Johnny Cash; Amish Outlaws; All About Joel: A Tribute to Billy Joel; Yacht Rock Gold Experience, and many others! Concerts will move indoors to the Community Hall in the event of inclement weather.

Join us on the lawn at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church for a free summer concert series every Wednesday from 7:30–9pm, featuring acts like The Quinn Brothers Band (July 10), The Quietmen (July 17), and more through Aug. 14. Bring a chair or blanket—rain or shine, with concerts moving to the Parish Hall in case of inclement weather.

Youngsters ages 12-14 are invited to visit the Game & Craft Zone at the Avalon Free Public Library. Each week, attendees will decide if the group plays games or makes crafts. On Friday, July 11, the activity will be friendship bracelets in preparation for “Fearless: The Taylor Swift Experience” concert on July 11 at 6:30pm at Surfside Park.
Friday Nights at Surfside Park: June 27-Aug. 22

Children will love spending their Friday nights at Surfside Park this summer. There will be balloon art, face painting, tattoos, DJ, dancing, character shows, games, and prizes. Please note there will be no shows on July 4, 11, and 25 due to other events in town.
