Sound Bowl Meditation

Experience deep relaxation through a unique guided meditation accompanied by the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls. This immersive, multisensory session uses healing sound vibrations to promote balance and well-being. Yoga mats are suggested but not necessary. Ready to learn how to play mahjong? This is the first class of a four-week beginner’s mahjong course to learn the fundamentals of American mahjong and how to read the National Mah Jongg League card. Tim Kerr Charities 1.2-Mile Bay Swim

Swim your heart out in the first race of the Tim Kerr Charities Open Water Summer Series Triple Crown. This 1.2-mile bay swim starts from the 5th Avenue & 20th Street public dock. Swimmers will move with the current all the way to the Avalon Yacht Club. A shuttle will run from Community Hall to the 5th Avenue public dock for convenience. Proceeds go to the Avalon Fire Rescue Water Safety Team.

Parkinson’s Council Flip-Flop Walk

Lace up your walking shoes for the 17th annual Flip Flop Walk! This 1-mile walk raises awareness about the impact of Parkinson’s disease, while raising funds for research, comprehensive care, and to improve the quality of life for families living with Parkinson’s in our region. The Parkinson Council has partnered with the Storbeck family to bring this event to Avalon.

Stone Harbor Triathlon

Stretch those legs and get ready for an exciting display of athleticism at the Stone Harbor Triathlon! Swim a quarter-mile in the bay, bike 11 miles, and finish with a 5K scenic run through town. Stone Harbor provides the perfect backdrop for this test of endurance.

Tim Kerr Charities Murray Mile Ocean Classic & The Murray Half

Have you ever wanted to swim the same course as the South Jersey lifeguards? Now is your chance! This ocean swim offers an out-and-back course, the only swim where you can do this on the East Coast. The Murray Half-mile option was added to ensure swimmers of all levels who want to participate can try an open water swim. The event is named for the late Murray Wolf, who served as the Avalon Beach Patrol captain for 65 years until his retirement in December 2021. Proceeds benefit the Avalon Beach Patrol Alumni Association.
