Some might say that all summer vacations must come to an end, but the sisters of Isabel’s Bakery & Cafe in Avalon had a different idea.
From design studios to restaurants to shops for the whole family, we are happy to welcome so many new businesses to Avalon and Stone Harbor. Summer entertaining should be easy. The grill is hot, the table is full, and the wine is flowing. Yet some of the most frustrating food-and-wine pairings happen during barbecue season.
July evenings on the island are perfect. The air cools just enough and the sky delivers magnificent soft pinks and oranges for our viewing pleasure. On these evenings, there’s no better feeling than gathering with good friends, cold drinks in hand, with the smell of something delicious cooking on the grill.
