Natives of the Argentina port city of Buenos Aires are commonly known as porteños, or “people of the port.” Chef Lucas Manteca is a porteño himself, but when it came time to name his latest culinary venture, the name “El Porteño” felt too masculine for the James Beard Award nominated chef and his wife and business partner Deanna Ebner.
