Days Gone By

This Christmas photo, complete with tinsel and electric tree lights, will take us back 77 years to the year 1948. This is the home of John and Ella Meany located on Ocean Drive (called Third Avenue at that time), two houses from 23rd Street. John Meany was a borough commissioner and the grandfather of the youngster, here smiling from ear to ear.
